that's how i'm feeling about the coming holiday weekend. this is pretty much one of my favorite holidays since it almost always consists of good weather, good food, & the actual start of summer in the PNW. let's all get excited!
but first, i have to share my super fun week spent with my niece & nephew who have been visiting from utah. here it is:
monday. after sitting around a good part of the morning we decided to get out & get ourselves some groceries. i figured these kids needed something to eat eventually, ya know? so we chowed on some costco samples, loaded up on muffins, ice cream, & reese's puffs & made it home in time for naked-story-time.
what? you don't have naked story time at your house? lame.

tuesday. after another morning of laziness & video games, we set out to explore downtown olympia. lots of craziness ensued. like mustaches-and-monster-mouths-squirrels-in-underpants-vintage-hats-and-sunglasses kinda craziness. we liked it.
wednesday. after bekah, parker & i got our workout on i took these guys downtown again for some more randomness. we explored the wind-up toy store & hit up a brand new cupcake shop. and yeah, those cupcakes were as good as they look.
then we said goodbye to kyle & sent him back to his grandparents' house to go on a fishing trip with his cousins. plus he'd probably had enough "little big planet" to last him a lifetime.
thursday. i left parker & bekah behind to go to work for the day. it wasn't all bad though... i got to wear my super cute vintage-key necklace from shabby apple that i won in a blog giveaway {thanks amy!} without having to battle a baby trying to shove it down his throat all day.
hooray for free stuff!
friday started out right. we had a 4th of july specialty class at stroller strides where i may or may not have won a quarter-mile race & got a sweet new hat out of the deal. yeah, i did. then all the kiddos lined up to race & i helped parker make his way to the finish line... slowly.
after hitting up the farmer's market for a hot dog {me} & some chicken curry {bekah} we went home so parker could nap & we could meet up with sam who was already home for the long weekend. our night consisted of mall-shopping, mondo-burrito-eating, movie-marathoning, & eating so many otter-pops i'm pretty sure we all lost count.
and that's how you know it was a good night.
