alright, let's not waste time with formalities. the big exciting thing right now is the fact that we find out what we're having on TUESDAY {assuming baby cooperates & shows us the goods}. i am beyond excited to see how much this little monkey has grown since our last ultrasound at 10 weeks & to see if it's a boy monkey or girl monkey. i honestly go back & forth in my thinking so at the end of the day, i have absolutely NO idea what it is. i just really hope & pray everything looks good & measures as it should & if it doesn't we'll cross that bridge when we get there.
i will be announcing the gender on friday of next week in the bump post. we are meeting up with a bunch of family on thursday & i hope to keep it a secret until we can tell them in person. we'll see if that happens... i tend to let these things slip.
but, assuming all goes well & our little baby is an exhibitionist, you can expect me to either be wearing a pink shirt or a blue shirt next week. yay!
in other pregnancy news, i am definitely starting to feel the changes this pregnancy is bringing on to my body. my hips are loosening up & tend to pop quite a bit & if i've been sitting a while i feel super stiff & sore when standing up. already. my heart rate rises super fast & i get short of breath pretty quickly when working out so i have been focusing a lot on making sure i can carry on a conversation. my belly is out there for the world to see, has definitely hardened up & it feels funny to lay on.
everyday i tell myself i'm going to eat better tomorrow but nothing healthy ever sounds good. or the healthy stuff i crave {chef salads, deli sandwiches} are on the "do not eat when pregnant" list. i say i'm gonna drink more water & then the thought of it makes me wanna throw up. but i promise, i'm gonna make an honest effort to do better at both these things this week.
i hope everyone has a great week. i think sam & i are gonna try & get our date night on tonight & hit up our favorite hole-in-the-wall italian place. it's sandwiched between a tavern & a tattoo parlor & seats by reservation only. it has twinkly lights hanging in steamy windows & a drippy candle burns at every table. mmmmm, worlds best pasta bolognese & pizza blanco is gonna get all up in my belleh!
